Direct Group Receives Multiple Awards for Excellence from the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association

Company Recognized for Mailing Ingenuity, Web Site
 
Pennington, N.J. – June 21 2007 – Direct Group received two awards for creative excellence June 15 at the 87th Annual Conference Awards Banquet of the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association (MFSA) in San Diego. The awards – recognizing a new product line and the company’s web site – were accepted by Chris Ryan, who was recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Direct Group.
 
Direct Group received a Mailing Ingenuity Award for its new Postal Optimizer® product line, the industry’s most comprehensive package of postal-cost-savings solutions. The award category recognizes creative problem solving in the areas of data processing/laser/personalization, management and lettershop/production. 
 
Postal Optimizer provides multiple opportunities to secure cost savings for direct mail marketers. It features proprietary software that analyzes customer data and generates comprehensive solutions for entry-point deliveries, commingling and other logistics strategies including optimal packaging, targeted in-home delivery dates, load planning, reporting, and standardized interfaces that determine the most efficient trucking and transport options. Direct Group’s use of “intelligent mail” technologies – in collaboration with the USPS – plays an important role in achieving significant cost reductions for clients. 
 
Direct Group also earned a Chairman’s Web Site Award, given in recognition of the best company web sites, with the entries evaluated on the success in meeting stated objectives, effective use of the medium, general impact, technical quality and creativity.

The MFSA Awards for Excellence are presented annually to MFSA members who display innovation in the mailing industry. Members were invited to enter their best mailing, campaign and/or project to be judged in 10 categories that focused on promotion (concept, copy, design, printing and effectiveness of DM pieces) and management. The management awards, which include the two awards received by Direct Group, recognize the use of quality management practices and creativity in the workplace.
